Scattered high above the water on a steep hillside, this all-villa complex has stunning panoramic views of the Mirabello Gulf and the historic island of Spinalonga. Forget the world from your private pool and embrace space on the Greek coast. Here you can be alone, in one of Europe’s most serene corners. Old-school elegance abounds with antique furnishings and a calm-inducing colour scheme of pastel blues, ochre and charcoal. Stop for a moment and listen. That’s the sound of silence, so blissful and rare.
Location
Not on the beach, which may be important for a lot of potential guests. The complex does have a private beach club but it’s a steep hill walk or a 15min shuttle ride away. On the plus side, the charming town of Elounda is just half a mile away. Your likely point of entry, Heraklion airport, is 40miles to the west.
Rooms
The property has just 18 private villas, each with its own private heated sea-water infinity pool, and 15 stylish suites. The layout of some villas can be a little unusual with bedrooms on the lower floor.
Who is it for
Families, couples or solo guests who are looking for a little privacy with their stunning panoramic views. Not a great choice for anyone who wants easy beach access.
Facilities & activities
This small boutique complex doesn’t skimp on amenities, it boasts two restaurants, the Argo and the Daphni, a spa gallery, a kids club and crèche for the smaller guests, and a private beach club – for those that don’t mind a winding 15min shuttle ride that is.
