Sounds guide you. The drumbeat of hooves. An elephant using its trunk as a trumpet. The soft panting of your horse, as you canter in lion country.
On the back of a horse you’re just another mammal in the wilderness. You’re not a threat to others. Sometimes you ride along with the others, like zebra. Other times you ride away, staying clear of an elephant or herd of bachelor buffalo.
There are only a few routes for vehicles in the Okavango. But on horseback? Now you can adventure into places nobody else will see. You will go on safari in a hidden part of the Okavango and it’s such a thrill galloping along traditional elephant routes.
This is not for beginner riders. You must be able to confidently control a horse. The experience can be a single afternoon, or even a full week on horseback with fly camps along the way.
