Peninsula Tokyo

Stellar service, great location and sizable rooms combine in this all-round Tokyo top performer. This is a great all-round city hotel that is almost impossible to fault, but with over 300 rooms it won’t appeal to everyone.

Stay at Peninsula Tokyo

Take in the futuristic glamour of Tokyo, from a 24-floor rose-tinted skyscraper inspired by a Japanese lantern. Opulent marble walkways, bamboo ceilings and abstract calligraphy greet you within. Very spacious rooms and the reassuring Peninsula service predominate during your stay (including early check in and late check out with Peninsula Time). Peninsula Tokyo offers just about everything you could need, but if you prefer intimacy then look elsewhere.

Location

The property boasts a convenient location in Yurakucho, with several high-end stores just steps away. Leafy Hibiya Park is right opposite, as is the Imperial Palace, home to the nation’s ruling Emperor and Empress.

Rooms

Accommodation here is among the most spacious in the city and the entry-level rooms are on par with premium rooms and suites elsewhere. All 314 guest abodes comprise five-star modernity, fused with intricate details honouring traditional Japanese design. It’s also very high-tech, so expect hidden buttons and gadgets laced throughout. Most Tokyo hotels occupy the top floors of a skyscraper while Peninsula Tokyo is its own skyscraper and not all rooms have a good view.

Who is it for

The Peninsula Academy welcomes children with activities like karate classes, wind chime-making and an iconic Pokemon Experience. However, the level of luxury is equally befitting of couples and small groups as well. This is a large and convenient hotel that will satisfy most, except those who demand lots of privacy and intimacy.

Facilities & activities

Alongside five restaurants, two ballrooms and its own wedding chapel, this Peninsula outpost hosts a chic sixth-floor spa. A good fitness centre and pool are among many facilities and dining at the rooftop outlet is not to be missed.
