Kempinski Hotel Aqaba Red Sea

Thanks to its recent renovation and the Red Sea sunsets, this friendly hotel is perfect for a few days of chill time, whether as a couple or with the family. Nowhere in Jordan is the height of luxury, but this is a very good five-star option in Jordan.

Stay at Kempinski Hotel Aqaba Red Sea

Freshly renovated with some stunning corner suites, this is our favourite hotel in Jordan. Looking out over Jordan, Egypt and Israel, with a private white-sand beach, it’s a fun and relaxed place with good five-star amenities throughout. It’s much smaller than Kempinski’s Dead Sea resort, a lot more intimate, and better located for exploring Wadi Rum and Petra. Go for an executive panoramic suite, with an indoor whirlpool bath overlooking the Red Sea.

Location

This is Jordan’s only Red Sea resort with a private beach - the white sand is imported from Egypt. Wadi Rum is only one hour away by car, great for a day trip if you don’t want to stay in the desert. Petra is only two hours away and Aqaba now has an international airport.

Rooms

All rooms face the sunset and you watch it set over Israel and Egypt. Executive Panoramic Suites have the corner location and the best Red Sea views. We recommend these or the Executive Deluxe Suites. These suites are double the size of the junior and deluxe suites, plus you get a lot of inclusive amenities like the club lounge. The Royal Suite is fantastic for four people. In general, suites on the highest floors are best. All have a Red Sea and sunset view.

Who is it for

Couples, families, friends. From Israel, Europe, America and Arabian countries. Kempinski Hotel Aqaba Red Sea is a welcoming place for all and that’s part of its appeal. Everyone can feel comfortable here as there’s no definitive vibe. It’s a comfortable place to rest and relax, before or after an adventure.

Facilities & activities

Live evening music and a heated children’s pool. A kid’s club and also a club lounge for sunset drinks. Pizzas on the beach and a Lebanese restaurant. A stylish pool area with a bar and jacuzzi. This hotel packs a lot of facilities into a relatively small space. The spa is intimate and private. Restaurants are good, not spectacular - there are interesting dining options in Aqaba city as well. Don’t forget diving, snorkelling and all the water sports!
