Nayara Tented Camp

Glamorous and unique, this show-stopping tented eco resort combines wild nature with modern luxuries and a sophisticated vibe. Opulent, original, and highly recommended as the place to stay for Arenal.

Stay at Nayara Tented Camp

A sloth hangs upside down above your head. Arenal Volcano looks postcard perfect in front of you. You sit back and admire your tent. It’s no normal tent. It’s a glamorous canvas palace, raised on wooden stilts, continuing your immersion in nature. Entering the bubbling hot spring waters of your private pool you contemplate where you are. This is why you came to Costa Rica. Nayara Tented Camp is an opulent eco resort, the most impressive of three different resorts that make up Nayara. It will take you very close to nature, while giving you a fresh perspective on eco luxury. There’s nowhere better for exploring the famous Arenal Volcano.

Location

Nayara is far enough outside La Fortuna town to escape the tourist bustle. Yet close enough to Arenal Volcano and other attractions to make for easy half-day activities. The enormous grounds are shared between three properties and you can use all the facilities of Nayara Springs and Nayara Resort as well. Nayara Tented Camp is the most exclusive and unique of the three.

Rooms

The name doesn’t lie, you will be sleeping in a tent. But it’s a tent on par with the most exclusive safari tents in Africa. Think outdoor shower, private terrace, heated plunge pool, hammock, couch, massive bed and so much more. They are extremely impressive and a really unique experience.

Who is it for

A lodge for people who want to experience nature without roughing it. For people who want to get dirty on a jungle hike then come back to a chilled martini in a private hot spring pool. There’s the advantage of using all the facilities at the two sister properties. Nayara Springs is adult only and Relais & Chateaux. Nayara Resort has great facilities for kids, so you can combine a unique tented experience with resort amenities.

Facilities & activities

You come to Arenal to explore. Volcano hikes, jungle trails, paddling on the lake, perhaps rafting or zip lining. There’s a lot to do in the area and when you come back to the camp the pool is waiting. Sharing amenities with the sister hotels is a real bonus. Three excellent spas, five distinct restaurants, a sloth rehabilitation program and swimming pools good for kids.
