In Lovcen National Park, the peacefulness will hit you first. It’s hard not to soak up the serene nature of what surrounds you here. Woodland. Forest glades. Mountain peaks in the distance.
Where you choose to hike in the park is largely down to you – your guide can recommend the best path for you. Our favourite is a nine kilometre hike along ancient paths used by villagers long before roads were built. There will be incredible views across to Sveti Stefan and Budva, and that sense that you are walking in generations upon generations of footsteps.
But today isn’t just about hiking, as glorious as that is. You will also have the opportunity to take lunch in the charming village of Ivanova Korita with its spectacular mountain views, and to visit the famous Mausoleum of Petar Petrovic Njegos II on the summit of Lovcen mountain, views stretching for miles.
