Join us on a journey to a region of proud and extraordinary people who know their way around the kitchen. The Basque region of Spain boasts the world's third-highest density of Michelin stars.
But it's not just about stars here. Over this weekend you’ll discover local street cuisine too, like pintxos, the Basque take on tapas. You'll explore the cities of Bilbao and San Sebastian and savor delightful bites in unassuming taverns and bars.
This EliteEscape by private jet is strictly limited to to eight travellers. It's on 25th to 27th April 2025. Will you join us?

Day 1
25.04.2025 08:00 - 27.04.2025 10:00
Terminal 3 Vaclav Havel Airport Prague
Private jet flight from Prague to Bilbao
There are eight seats on our private Cessna Citation Sovereign jet, where breakfast with Champagne will be served as we depart for Bilbao. Arrive at the airport 20 minutes before departure.
25.04.2025 10:30 - 13:00
Visit the Guggenheim and explore the old town
From the airport we head straight to Bilbao's modern landmark - the Guggenheim Museum, designed by Frank Gehry. After this contemporary showcase we'll walk through the old town - Casco Viejo - with its narrow streets, traditional shops and historical monuments.
25.04.2025 14:00 - 16:00
Lunch at Asador Etxebarri (1* Michelin)
Our first gastronomic stop is Asador Etxebarri. This humble restaurant has become one of the world's most renowned and currently ranks at number two in the World's 50 Best Restaurants. Located in the countryside between Bilbao and San Sebastian, the restaurant is famous for novel methods of cooking over an open fire. Chef Victor Arguinzoniz makes sure each dish is influenced by flavours of the fire. You'll enjoy homemade chorizo, fresh seafood and steaks. It's far from molecular gastronomy - expect smokey flavours and traditional grilling.
25.04.2025 17:00 - 27.04.2025 12:00
Check-in at hotel Maria Cristina
Maria Cristina is a beautiful historic hotel dating from 1912 in the centre of San Sebastian, about an hour's drive from the restaurant. You will stay in a River Suite (65 m2) with river views.
25.04.2025 20:00 - 23:59
San Sebastian at night - pintxos and bars
Think of pintxos as small snacks, the Basque equivalent of Andalusian (Spanish) tapas. The locals will eat them all evening, washed down with wine or beer, creating a convivial atmosphere through the streets. This is exactly what we'll do on Friday night! After resting at the hotel, we'll walk to the old town centre of San Sebastian and hop between bars, sampling a variety of pintxos, local wines and other specialties.
Day 2
26.04.2025 11:00 - 17:00
Trip to the French Basque Country / Biarritz
Today's program will start late in the morning, so you have time to rest or explore San Sebastian on your own. Today's tour will take us to interesting places outside San Sebastian and onwards to French Basque. We will visit the glitzy seaside town of Biarritz to discover its rich history. Today's lunch will be a light one, at a local restaurant, then there's afternoon coffee at the legendary Hotel du Palais Biarritz, built by Napoleon III for his wife.
26.04.2025 19:00 - 22:00
Tasting dinner at the Arzak Restaurant (3* Michelin)
Tonight you will enjoy an exceptional gastronomic experience at Arzak Restaurant (3* Michelin). Chef Elena Arzak is one of the biggest stars of Basque gastronomy and you will enjoy her distinctive approach, which crosses contemporary cooking with traditional Basque recipes. There is a choice of three tasting menus and you can choose a wine pairing option or select wines of your own preference. Arzak Restaurant is known for its creativity, presentation and intense flavours. Dishes are the result of experiments carried out in their own laboratory.
Day 3
27.04.2025 09:00 - 11:00
(optional) Guided tour of San Sebastian with a local guide
If you're keen to explore San Sebastian further we have a guided tour of the city's highlights on Sunday morning. Depending on the weather and your particular interests, we will set a specific itinerary for the tour. Alternatively, you can use your Sunday morning to relax or explore the city on your own.
27.04.2025 12:00 - 15:00
Lunch at the Beko Errota country restaurant
Returning from the hotel to the airport we have one last culinary experience at the charming country restaurant Beko Errota. This restaurant is the opposite of Michelin fine dining, and is a nice balance to previous meals during the trip. The authentic cuisine will give you an even better idea of the depth and variety in Basque gastronomy. We will have a private jet waiting at the airport just five minutes away.
27.04.2025 16:00 - 18:00
Private flight from San Sebastian to Prague
There will be desserts, coffee and, of course, Champagne, on the approximately two-hour flight. We will be happy to arrange onward transfers from the Prague airport if you wish.
