Wadi Rum Desert Adventure

Sand dunes turn another shade of orange. Sandstone rock glimmers red in the sunset light. The desert stretches on and on. Silence. And then some camels walk past with a Bedouin herder.
Welcome to Wadi Rum, an epic desert adventure in South Jordan. Spend the afternoon bumping around the desert in a Jeep. Of course there are no roads. Your driver takes you across the sand, between the mountains, and through the land made famous by Lawrence of Arabia.
There are some iconic photo stops, like Lawrence’s old house and natural bridges high above the sand. But mostly this is about exploring the unknown. It is possible to extend your stay and spend the night in a desert camp, or even a night sleeping beneath the stars. It’s not that comfortable, but a very spectacular experience.
