Imagine diving into the crystal clear waters of the Balkans’ largest lake, Skadar, waterfalls cascading around you. Imagine a picturesque hike along an ancient caravan route through a forested valley, where an ancient Ottoman bridge and small fishing villages await. Imagine spying the rare curly pelican – the symbol of this national park. Imagine taking in the sights and sounds of unspoiled nature.
Welcome to Skadar lake, one of the most beautifully scenic regions of Montenegro.
Today, not only will you get the opportunity to hike and swim, but you’ll also travel by jeep to a unique 10th century village, virtually untouched since the 1979 earthquake. You’ll also take a boat to a small island with a tiny village and monastery.
Lunch is included of course, as is the sense that you are really getting under the skin of Montenegro, its people, culture and natural habitats.
