One&Only Cape Town

A sparkling city resort with Cape Town’s widest range of five-star amenities and facilities, perfect for families and easy city exploration. Not the most spacious or unique, but will be very comfortable and comforting for first time visitors to Africa.

Stay at One&Only Cape Town

Open the curtains to a view onto Table Mountain. Feel the ocean breeze on your balcony. Wander to the spa island, for a quiet morning treatment. Now breakfast. A day of exploration awaits and you have a prime location base here, on the waterside, enjoying all the excellent One&Only amenities and service. After a recent renovation, this luxury urban resort is now a great choice in Cape Town, ideal for mixing resort life with exploring the “Mother City.” So rest, relax. Then go out for your adventure.

Location

The two hotel blocks are located on the marina, next to the V&A Waterfront. While you have both mountain and marina views, this is very much an urban resort in the city, close to many of the iconic things to do. We love how the resort is built around the canals, providing a sense of tranquillity despite the central location. If you’re new to Africa then the V&A Waterfront will be a good place to get your bearings.

Rooms

The renovation has transformed what was a slightly gloomy resort into a sparkling hotel spread across a large area. Rooms in the Marina Rise block boasts the Table Mountain views and balconies, but some are a little cramped. Island Suites don’t have a view but are far more spacious, especially the two-bedroom suites for families.

Who is it for

A prime choice for families, thanks to the KidsOnly club, spa, swimming pools and location in the safe-to-walk V&A Waterfront. Couples can find something a little more unique by staying at The Silo nearby.

Facilities & activities

Spa Island is definitely the best spa in Cape Town, perhaps in all of Southern Africa. The pool is another standout and you can explore the waterways on a sunrise standup paddleboard trip. Full marks must also go to the KidsOnly club for four to 11 year olds, which has a daily program of supervised activities. Breakfasts are good but for dining there are better options in Cape Town than the resort’s three restaurants.
