Off-hours Chichen Itza

Awaken with the tropical sun of the Yucatan, and explore Chichen Itza, one of the Mayan culture’s most well-preserved and documented archaeological zones. You will arrive significantly earlier than the masses, with plenty of time to appreciate both the remoteness of the site, as well as the schools of birds nesting in the flamboyan, guanacaste, and cedar trees endemic to the region. Constructed more than 1500 years ago, you may be as equally taken with the central pyramid as with the sculpture of the winged-serpent deity Kukulcan, for which the pyramid was built.

If you would like, you could combine a tour of Chichen Itza with a visit to the quaint Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) of Valladolid, less than an hour away by private transfer.
