Epic Belize Snorkelling

Nurse sharks swim past, almost frightfully close. Rays flitter along the shallow bottom, their camouflage only gently disturbed. Now they approach, swimming right up to you.

Shark Ray Alley is so called because, surprisingly, it’s packed with rays and sharks. It was where fishermen used to clean their catch. Now the sound of a boat brings both nurse sharks and rays out to meet snorkellers. It’s now the most famous place to snorkel in Belize and sometimes it’s a little crowded.

But it’s just one small part of the world’s second longest barrier reef. After Shark Ray Alley your guide will take you to other epic snorkel spots, where the experience with vibrant coral and marine life will be yours alone.
